A cookie needs to be set for most parts of our web site to work.
If a cookie can't be set then our website will think you are not logged in and will restrict your access.
Click here for a Google page which tells you how to enable cookies, but if you are like me, you don't want every web page to be able to set a cookie.
So what I do is set an exception - and here's how. (Your version may vary a little from these instructions)
For Firefox
- In your browser's top menu click: Tools - Options - Privacy Tab
- Next to the 'Accept cookies from sites' option, click the 'Exceptions...' button
- Into the field 'Address of web site:' paste this- www.aboutwindows.com.au
- Click Allow
- Click Close, then OK
- Shut down and restart all open Firefox windows
- Voila!
For Internet Explorer
- In your browser's top menu click: Tools - Internet Options - Privacy Tab
- In the Settings frame click the 'Sites...' button
- Into the field 'Address of web site:' paste this- www.aboutwindows.com.au
- Click Allow
- Click Ok twice
- Shut down and restart all open IE windows
- Voila!
