The Quantum range from Solar Gard has been designed with appearance and long life in mind.
Quantum uses a sputter coated alloy to maximise heat reduction from a low reflective film
- No dye; the Quantum alloy has amazing colour stability
- There are five grades of standard HP Quantum and another three QSQ with extra layers
- Quantum QSQ films have 2 layers of Quantum separated by alluminium for increased heat reduction
- The HP Quantum films have pressure sensitive adhesives and can be used in automotive applications
- QSQ films have the Solar Gard clear dry adhesive and are only used on flat glass.

- The heat reduction is less than full reflective films
- This would be classed as semi-reflective and will vary in appearance according to the prevailing light
- Having a high glare reduction means it is fairly dark
- High solar absorption increases glass stress
