Frosted - Decorative - Patterns - 24/7 Privacy

  • Whether you are creating a special feature or need extra privacy, there is a Translucent Film for you.
  • All translucent films are design to be applied indoors onto smooth glass.
  1. Choose a material.
    • Over 20 years of experience has shown us that 90% of people will prefer either Frosted Crystal, Dusted Crystal or Fasara Milky which is why we keep them in stock. We recommend you browse these products. Please contact us if you have something different in mind.
    • For a bathroom, toilet or shower area we would recommend Fasara Milky, or Fasara Luce with its extra icy look.
  2. Add a pattern
    • As our galleries show, we can hand-cut a wide variety of patterns
    • For really complex shapes we can computer cut a design. You'll have to talk to us about your ideas.
    • With the advent of digital printing you can now add colours, shades and even images to translucent film. Prices are available on request but in round figures this process can double the price.
  3. See Making an enquiry
  4. You may find some additional information on our Frosted Films page.

Safety Marking - Manifestation

Manifestation simply means making glass visible. Any glass which could be mistaken for a doorway or opening should be made visible either by some structural component (chair rail, handrail or transom) or by the application of Window Film.

  • In many circumstances a band of at least 20mm should be applied within the range of 700-1200mm above the floor.
  • Logos or patterns can be used.
  • This does not negate the requirement for safety glass.
  • Film is not needed if the glass is less than a metre high or less than 1/2 a m wide.

  • Many spaces will need to meet the disabled access code, notably, public buildings.
  • In these cases a continuous band, at least 75mm high is required and should be positioned with the lower edge between 900mm and 1000mm above the finished floor level.
  • The material needs to offer contrast, so selection will depend on the visual surroundings, e.g. a white film in front of a white wall or light vinyl floor may not be adequate.
  • This is a general guide and should not be substituted for referring to Australian Standards.

Please have a look at our Safety Marking gallery.

  • You can email us and then send a sketch of your ideas.
  • Our suppliers have a number of common designs readily available.
  • For a simple continuous band just send us your pane widths to organise a price and install.

Logos & Lettering

We do our fair share of lettering and logos, but if that is all you need you should go to a sign shop.

Signs and Logos are not our main business, but if we are going to install some Window Film then it is often pointless to get a sign specialist as well, unless you are re-branding completely and need a range of sign products.

  • We rarely do anything that can't be done with vinyl film.
  • Vinyl films are available in a vast array of colours and qualities.
